Check out what I'm making! From the earliest chapter of the Shmod Saga, I present a currently-unfinished theme...

It took so long because I never designed Skeletal Chimera before I invented it. Also, Skeletons are a pain in the as... neck to draw.

That effect on Shielder's Shield is SWEET!
I'm kinda wondering why your Skeletal Chimera lost its DEF of 2000. It doesn't matter though. And losing hlf your life is MUCH better than all but one (unless you're already at 2, in which case you break even).
Aarikku
Meh. I edited a lot of the Skeletons' effects/stats from back in the day.
Naardaas
The only other thing (which you can ignore; I'm just a sticker for accuracy):
You have several of the limb bones upside-down (pairs go below singles, not above).
Aarikku
Oh. That's true. Whatever.
Naardaas
One last thing, and I know how typical it sounds of me, but a Skeletal Dragon would be cool. I know you like Dragons as much as I do, so it might be cool.
Aarikku
I've considered it, but it won't happen until all of Sebastian's skeletons are done.
Pyrah
I've actually been working on a prototype dragon skeleton, albeit, it's not finished because I started working on it mid semester and then things started getting hectic for art show, so I had to stop working it. I could finish it for the near future, but I don't what effect you'd like.
Aarikku
Neh. I wasn't going to bother with one. And what about King Caesar Salad?
Naardaas
Technically, you can make a Dragon Skeleton card but not make it part of the archetype. I have a card lined up in my series that's a Dragon - Undead, and is completelt skeletal.
Aarikku
I'd still add Skeleton. Just because it's not intended to be in the archetype doesn't mean it can't be a Skeleton.
And why is everyone making skeletal dragons?
Naardaas
For me, it's because a personal project of mine involves dragon fossils.
Aarikku
Well, I finished Sebastian's skeletons (EDIT: I guess I still have Deathly Ritual, actually...):

And, to kick off the non-Sebastian cards:
Naardaas
Nice cards. The angle on Mausoleum's door is a bit off kilter though.
The one ting the series needs is its own draw card. With constantly dumping your cards for Shadow Necromancy, they need to fuel their hand. I don't think just Replenish or Hell Mulligan will do, and Shrodinger's Blood costs more Mana than the theme can afford.
And actually, Dark-Crystal Skull from Shmod: Apocalypse could be revamped into a Skeleton:
(Level One) Dark-Crystal Skull (Dark)
Category: Skeleton
Effect: During your Untap Phase, if this card is charged, you can Scrap 1 Skeleton to: A) Draw 2 cards. B) Scrap a Skeleton from your Deck. C) Charge 1 [Dark-Crystal Skull] from your Deck. You cannot charge normally this turn.
ATK/ 0
DEF/ 0
Aarikku
Then the theme can afford? Every monster so far is Level One (save C/T cards, of course). And you're not actually going to be discarding 3+ cards every time with Necromancy.
Meh, I might as well make some Skeleton-specific draw card anyway. Keep Dark-Crystal Skull as support for whatever it was originally; I'll handle these guys.

After testing, the Skeletons are actually one of the strongest decks in the game. In my opinion. They can easily summon four monsters on turn one.
Naardaas
Sounds like they've served their purpose then. Do they rival Frogs and Virtuals?
Aarikku
I think Frogs would beat them. Though the Skeletons have a ridiculously strong earlygame, Frogs would dominate once they evolved a Tadpole or two. That would only leave Skeletal Chimera as a threat, so it's all about who'd bring out what first.
Virtuals would be fine assuming that the deck was based more on Masumaru. He'd be able to take out anything save Chimera, which could easily be destroyed by Leric and Dragon Fire. Skeletal Knight would be a hard obstacle for 'em.
Pyrah
As for the dragon skeleton thing, I just wanted to draw one because I've never done so before.
Naardaas
How are the rest of the Skeletons coming along?
Aarikku
Takin' a hiatus. I mean, I only have one of Sebastian's left (and it'll be a pain to draw) and Skeletons quite possibly are the best decktype in Shmod, so I don't see it as a huge priority.
Naardaas
So what next. You've done Frogs, Virtuals, Insectoids, Skeletons, and even Snails. What's left?
Aarikku
Anything I want is left. But I don't have any big archetype plans currently.
Naardaas
Just a thought: Do you know what Parasitoids are?
Aarikku
...A creature resembling a parasite, I imagine. It'd probably involve taking over opponent's monsters, and being exactly like the Virus theme.
And let's try something not dark/evil. Or dragon-related.
Naardaas
Parasitoids are creatures who are parasites as young, who ultimately kill their host before metamorphing into their independent adult form. See where I'm going with this?
Aarikku
Meh. Not interested.
Try something less evil.
Naardaas
The natyral world is not in any way evil Leric. Cruel as it can be, all is but for a given purpose.
And, just so you know, it involves transformation.
Aarikku
I figured.
Naardaas
So, did Deathly Ritual ever take shape?
Aarikku
No. I didn't like my original sketch, and I just sorta lost interest after that. Besides, Skeletons don't need support.
