All right. Another of Greg's MetaDragons. Hopefully we'll get to see Titanium Dragon soon enough.

Anywho, Amphithere's a nice one. The one flaw with the MetaDragons is that most of them are ridiculously high-levelled; there are 3 Level 4s, 1 Level 5, 1 Level 3 and a resoundingly low 1 Level 1.

Sufficed to say, the MetaDragons will suffer from an inability to summon anything in the first several turns. However, summoning Amphithere solves two problems. It gives you a nice field presence of 3000 (or more likely 4000) ATK, as well as extra Mana if your opponent destroys it. That means that next turn, you'll have no problem summoning Gold Basilisk.

You just have to make sure that Alchemy Seal stays in play. Shouldn't be too difficult; Shmod doesn't have a lot of destruction cards.

All this taken into account; the point remains that a base-ATK Amphithere is at the lower end of the Level 4 monsters and requires a Level Two field card for its second effect. Thus, 3/5. It's good, but not amazing.

(Female Voice) This is true, but since there are few (if any) cards that negate effects, and Mercury Dragon can already be out by this point, it works well enough. As for the second effect, extra mana never hurt, and with Cloudrunner and Banyo Dragon both Level 1, easy to pull off, especially with Living Lunch. 3.5/5 until Titanium Dragon arrives.
